The first snake was a baby python which I suspected was attracted to the number of frogs during the weeklong heavy downpour. I had to call my father in law to catch the snake and move it somewhere else.
The second was a monitor lizard, and I guess it came from the swampy area behind our house.
The third snake, is the size of a thumb and 3 feet long. Its got red stripes along its back and when I wiki'ed it, believe it was a ribbon snake.

Mr & Mrs G, how did you guys react when you encountered these? I'd freak out big time...
Shopper Mama: Freak out we did. We thought it was merely ular lidi (grass snake about a feet long and besar jari kelinking), sekali tengok Ya Allah.... doa Nabi Nuh tak putus-putus heheh. Our main fear was Musang (our pet cat) which loves to 'play' with other animals, so first thing we asked the maid was (knowing our kids was in the house) where is Musang.
Even during construction the house was 'visited' by two snakes - i think it was banded krait, hence decision to construct the fence . . .
